If you like mostly video with very little reading, and dont mind tons of clips from out of state stations, this will do.

BREAKING NEWS! "Chicken killed crossing the road in Elk Grove."

The app is good and stays up to date but you have to suffer through 30 seconds of video ads when waiting to watch a news video. Theres an ad for each video you watch and its usually the same ad. So if you watch 4 news videos, youll watch 4 30-second ads that are the same. Quite annoying. I usually just go to another local news app to circumvent the annoying video ads. Otherwise the app is fine.

Very good app informs me on all news satisfied.

Im pleased to say that Im pleased! I like my new app, KCRA News! The newscasters are the best in the area with up to date, to the very hour, news in the Sacramento Valley. The stories range from frightening to heartwarming but always in good taste. Sports and weather are done, as well, by #1 professionals in their field. If I was to have one complaint it would be that there are WAY TOO MANY ADS!! And the VERY SAME ADS every few minutes, a segment at a time, until the tedium of it causes me to finally shut it off!! BUT, I appreciate your talent and hard work nonetheless!! Thank you very much. Anne Grimes

Latest info Much better than the Bee app Only thing that bothers me are the adverts you have to watch before EVERY video,and its same ad, 30 seconds, boring ads Most news apps only have you watch a couple It stops me watching the news videos Also video news are amped up like drama rather than factual news like bbc, not a fan of that.

With all of the horrible reviews about the "new" app, one would think that KCRA would find the time to get a better version. One that its users actually like.

this was a good app long long time ago, it seems with each update the app itself gets worse full of pop-ups and endless ads

Great news coverage but endless repetitive adds that detract from rating five stars. How about you show one add as they pay for it,and be done with it.

Way too much repetition of the same stories, a lot of old news that remains for many days and way too much advertising throughout.

Good reporting but there are so many ads I usually get my news elsewhere. Wish youd fix it so you had fewer, shorter ads.

I deleted the original app when "weather alerts" including things like light drizzle now falling in Elk Grove. I decided to give this new app a try. Still a long way to go ladies and gentlemen. Im getting alerts and if I click on them to see the story its nowhere to be found

The app is much less buggy, doesnt crash when rotating to horizontal view. What is most annoying are the ads that precede EVERY video, and most of the time it is the same 30-second ad. It is annoying, a waste of my time, and as a result I dont use the app very often.

Local news is great, but the alerts are sometimes the whole story. Id rather have an alert when theres something more, not just when youre trying to be the first news channel to get it out. One good story is better than 5 alerts correcting or updating the last.

A Good and Informational app to have.

Content good, but too many ads. Deleting app.

I have three other news apps from tv stations and none of them have as many ads as KCRA. May be dropping the app from my device.
