KCRA 3 News - Sacramento App Reviews

Agree with all the negative reviews. So annoying to use now. I have downloaded their competitors apps to use instead. If I get a news alert, I go straight to their competitors app. If they have it fine. If not, it doesnt matter since I wouldnt be able to find on KCRA app anyway. Why send an alert if you are not going to have the story up yet? Not to mention a 30 second ad every single time you want to view a video and then when video is over and you go back, it takes back to the top story and you have to scroll to find where you left off in the list of stories. And heaven forbid you try to orient you phone to watch a video in landscape as it crashes and disappears. Ridiculously annoying app now.

This update version is terrible. Too cluttered. Stories are not updated frequently. Too many videos and not much news. Whats the point. I go here for news not entertainment Please go back to the previous version. Update: still a terrible update. Needs to have less video and more news stories. Other news channels such as local ABC network is much better

We are on your app you dont have to waist 30 seconds of my life every time I want to see a video on your app about how you guys are the top news agency. Got a different news app

The old version was more user friendly .

I liked the app about 8 upgrades ago. The weather aspect of the app is too hard to understand and figure out. I have to read the text paragraphs to get any semblance of the weather. Everything else is unreadable symbols and the sun & cloud color chart at the bottom is impossible to interpret. I dont like the news part of the app. Too many ads. 1 ad is too many. Im using a competitors app mostly now.

Too many videos. I scan the news on my phone usually in a public place so I dont want a video to pop up!

This could be a great app but the constant barrage of ads is unacceptable plus its the same 4-5 ads over & over, its like digital water boarding. The best part of this app is the traffic map, that I use all the time.

I waited through the same set of commercials twice (plumber, lawyer, solar, car dealer) and the story still didnt come up! Very irritating!

I thought nothing could be more entertaining than Walmart, but this app takes the cake. I find it amazing that my 4-year old proofs the posted articles better than the less than GED educated folks writing this garbage being used by KCRA. I switched to News10 app, much better! Keep up the common core work here.

My KCRA is my go to application for local news and weather! They rarely let me down!

I use it just because it sends notifications. I really do NOT like the 30 second ads which users can NOT skip! Lots of negative news coverage... Murder, assault, fatal accidents....(Rollin my eyes) I mean, gees.... Could we have categories available so I dont have to see that crap? Come on KCRA .... Wheres the good positive stuff? Really!!!!!

I do not like it. You are not given the option of skipping the ad so you watch the same ad over and over again, every time you watch a news video. Also after reading my chosen news story, the story following is so random. They are not organized in logical categories and I have to scroll through a whole bunch of stories Im uninterested in to get to something I want to read. Frustrating!

I dont live in the Sacramento area anymore but I do keep using the KCRA app. The most annoying thing is having to sit through commercials to watch a video story. Id rather not even have video stories! If I want to read the news I want to read the news. But I still use it to keep up on the Sacramento area. Also its a shame that proofreading and grammar has gone the way of online news. Sometimes I wonder if anybody read what they wrote before they pick the send button! We all make mistakes, myself included, but come on...

No one listens to low vision senior citizen!! Used have font size selection and i loved to read news and now not anymore. Very disappointed and feels very discrimated Shame on you!!

Horrible app, too many ads, ads too long and in too many places, should be able to skip ads!! App is more about KCRA, staff and advertising than news They have too many ads on themselves too

Where is the windows phone app???

The app is ok but I hate having to watch an ad before every video, even if I just watched one. And too many videos.
