Only channel I watch for local news. Very professional, best weather and traffic.

This app used to be my go to news app but now it's so frustrating trying to read one article. Almost every single article starts with the opening sentence then ….where is the rest of the story? I’ve tried to email KCRA several times to let them know the majority of articles are missing the story but nothing has been changed. Guess I’ll look for a different app to get NorCal news.

Just wish you’d be fair to all of us Californians! Very one sided when it comes to politics! Sad.

I’m tired of this Sacramento Maga news organization they’re so right sided they love spilling Trump’s lies when they could actually leave out the lies and put the truth in, but they love putting the lies in there news. With zero fact checking, they know they’re spilling lies and they don’t care.

Trump is so proud to be an American Citizen and therefore, he needs to be held accountable for breaking the law! There is NO SPECIAL COUNCIL! He just invented that to clear himself! He is a criminal and a FELON! And needs to be imprisoned - he can be tried like everyone else would be! The people who dislike him and don’t trust him FAR OUTNUMBER the people who have been Hoodwinked by him and his false promises!

I don’t mind having ads on the same page as content. But it’s becoming beyond difficult to read an article lately. The ads are all over the page and I can’t even read the news articles anymore. Compound this with suddenly it’s even hard to tell if it’s a news article or a paid ad. Starting to consider different sources for news for the first time in 20+ years!

As I get up, go to bed and work during the day, I can see what the weather is doing. Can see when the storm clouds are coming in and rain is coming in and leaving. It is a fabulous site.

KCRA apparently seems to be afraid to allow fact checkers to leave info that may contradict their "narrative" of their "news"

As much as I am a fan of KCRA I find the phone app difficult to navigate. For example I may receive a pop up alert and if I don’t click on it quickly enough I have to go to the app to locate the story and it’s not always there, certainly not front and center. Plus the ads are too frequent and too many. Not a fan

I’m sad state science communications undergrad and I know my Dailey if possible attendance of KCRA WAY ENHANCED my success.

When you open an article, a very loud ad video plays, and there’s no way to mute or even turn down the volume. I won’t open this app when I’m in public anymore, so I’ll probably just stop using it.

This app has a lot of glitches making it almost worthless. Often the story just ends mid-sentence. Other times it frequently just closes the story I’m reading and goes back to the top of the home page. It’s a very frustrating app to use because it is so inconsistent and has too many glitches.

I actually love the content of this app, but I am growing tired of taking the time to select an article to read only to have the app kick me out of the article and refresh to the home page.

Constantly crashes or resets to home page in the middle of reading. Each update that includes “bug fixes” I assume will include a fix but it never does. Actually seems to have gotten worse. Pretty much have given up on this app for local news…just too frustrating since you can’t read a story for more than 10 seconds before it crashes.

I used to love this app for my local news. However, in the last several months, the app has been very glitchy. When I click on a news alert notification, the app will open but to the main page and not the article I clicked on the notification for. To make matters worse, the article I clicked on (and was clearly interested in) is no longer anywhere to be found in the app. Additionally, when I click on an article IN the app, 9 times out of 10 I will get about halfway through the article and the screen just switches back to the main article listing. I’ve done several reboots and app updates with no improvement. Very frustrating!

Your app is constantly having issues! It closes stories when I’m reading them and then will take forever to open an article, if it even does!!

Resetting back to lead article often. While scanning through. While in middle of reading any article. Just sitting on a table and phone not even being touched. Marker on app icon indicating something special not indicated on any article after app opened.

This is the most frustrating news outlet app. It always closes out and refreshes when I am in the middle of an article. This happens multiple times while scrolling down to get to articles also. In the morning when I try to watch live it freezes with “We will be right back” and I have to close the app and reopen it missing stories I’ve been waiting for. If I could get this channel on a different app I would.

What is up with your app? Crashes every ten seconds and is completely unusable

I have this app on my Home Screen to check local news. Recently, the app has started reloading randomly within a few seconds of starting to read an article so I can’t finish reading or really even use the app. I tried deleting and reinstalling but the problem persists. I will delete this app and will not use it unless this is fixed because it is now useless.

However, live news coverage is great.

Please stop giving normalizing coverage to Donald Trump and his gang of authoritarians who increasingly show themselves as the autocrats they are. They are a danger to democracy and what our great country has always stood for - freedom to be who we are, welcoming of immigrants, respectful of all cultures, religions, and on and on. And, fact checking his and their lies and his threats. No air time for autocrats please. Used to watch all the time, like your weather team. But, moving to others of late.

Until a few days ago I would have given this app 4 stars. Now it doesn’t even finish opening. I left it to try overnight and in the morning it was still hanging.

Hit or miss on weekends if we get that morning’s newcast or the previous night’s. Also no longer works with airplay. Used this to stream to my tv but seems to have stopped functioning in the last week.

It provides me with news

I love KCRA and have been using the app for years, especially the stream since I don’t have cable. Recently the stream has been glitchy, either only supplying the morning stream when it’s 7pm, or not offering the stream at all.

Lately, every time I start to read a news story, the app closes right in the middle of reading it. I log back on and it does the same thing, no matter which story I’m reading. Please fix this issue.

This has been my “go to” news app for a long time. What’s happened to it? I’ll be in the middle of reading a news item, scroll down and it just shuts down. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it, same thing is happening. I have the latest update. Help!!

The raider app works good. However, it be nice if there was an Apple TV app so I can watch it on my TV instead of having to have my phone or my iPad at home to watch it.

As soon as I attempt to scroll down to view a selection, app crashes and disappears.

Only channel I watch for news I watched it for years love it

Program worked until I bought new iPad. So I guess the news comes first, if you use a 9 year old iPad Air 2.

I don’t watch live TV news on the channel that much and with this app, I can watch anytime I want. My favorite part is there’s videos of other news. You can watch the live news live or recorded. This is the better than watching tv :)

Got this app because my granddaughter is at UCD and wanted to know what was happening there with the murders. Different “headlines” all led to same video …and no info that the header indicated. Some stories seemed to only be merely a repeat of the header with no additional story/information. Spent 30 minutes exploring different topics without finding information on any of them. I did find details of the weather …it was under a header of different topic!

I would rate this ap 5 stars if it didn’t freeze up every day and for weeks now. Fix the bugs!!!

For about the last week, when I call up the app, I get the main page, but when I begin to scroll down the stories the app freezes and is not usable. I am on an iPad Mini and this is the first time this has happened. Looks like I’m going to have to use another channel’s app for local news. I have deleted and redownloaded the app but the problem persists.

Absolutely 👍 💯! This is my family’s news station! Thank goodness for being able to watch on our phones too. My Brother lives in Myers and cannot get Channel 3 any longer and is very upset because they only have a Reno station and all of our family lives in Sacramento. He lived in Sacramento and doesn’t understand because he still lives in California. They are always showing Highway 50 and Myers round about and he lives 3 minutes from it but can’t revcieve channel 3 on television. Very stressful for him! When I go to visit I can’t see it on tv either and it’s very stressful. Please help!!!!! He’s even called the station many times. Thank you all your all amazing!!! My Brother is your #1 Fan!!!! I’m his #1 fan and your # 2 fan!!!!!

Love the link and the ease of reading breaking news. The push notifications are very timely and easy to read

Hands down, this is the worst. I only have it installed to get local news alerts for things like local traffic. Every time I actually try to read a story or watch a story, I’m remind how trash the app is. First, the top half of the screen is a video player that you CANNOT close or minimize, even if the video playing has nothing to do with the article below. Second, said video player ALWAYS plays an add the second it’s opened. Which… sure… I get, you need to make money, I’m ok with that. What I’m NOT ok with is the fact that if I happen to scroll a bit too far, while reading, it’ll skip to the next story on Infinite scroll, EVEN if that next story isn’t on my screen yet, and I wasn’t done reading the one i was there for. THEN, that video player PLAYS ANOTHER AD! And all the adds seem to have people screaming at me at the top of their lungs. The entire experience is awkward, poorly designed and honestly… I just hate it.

All flashy but annoying pop up’s that you cannot close and when you read an article and go back to the home page you have to start at the beginning and scroll all the articles again to get to the next one.

Poor app settings. Should be able to select what language ads are in. If I don’t want ads in Spanish I shouldn’t have to listen to them.
